It’s always exciting when we get that call asking one to come for an interview but its scary knowing that the prospective employer may ask questions you do not know how to answer.

So below we have prepared a few questions with relevant answers to assist:

Tell me about yourself
* Identify your main attributes
* Describe your qualifications
* Describe work history
* Describe skills (emphasize skills relevant to the job that you are applying for)

What have your achievements been to date?
* Describe achievement that is recent and related to the position on offer
* Identify skills and achievements (E.g.: Employee of the month)

What is the most difficult situation you have had to face and how did you tackle it?
* Discuss a situation that you have had to deal with
* Explain how you tackled the position (Be positive)
* Never blame others, simply explain how a situation could have been handled differently
* Always end on a positive note.

What are your strengths?
* You have the ability to learn quickly
* Determination to succeed
* Positive attitude
* Your ability to relate to people
* Be prepared to give examples of situations, where you practiced your strengths.

What is your greatest weakness?
* Make sure you have at least one weakness (Do not say you have none)
* Perfectionist – This is a positive weakness, because you can explain that you want work to be done to the best high standards.

Why do you want to leave your current employer?
* Explain that you are looking for a new challenge, and that you would like more responsibility
* You would like to gain more experience, Do not say you seek more money or that you hated your last work and boss!!

Why have you applied for this particular job?
* Emphasize on your experience for the job that is on offer. Explain how you would like more experience in this field
