Well for starters, a modelling agencies job is to find you work. If you make use of a modelling agency, they will find contracts for you and negotiate on a fee. Some of the Pros are that you no longer have to be a certain height, you can have some meat on those bones and its not all about being super skinny. In fact alot of the models are required to have attractive faces with good skin and some models even have striking features like larger ears, or funky eye color. Anyone can be a model these days. When living with models, you get to become more confident and sure about yourself, and you also get to travel alot which is super!

There are unfortunetly more Cons then there are Pros when working towards becoming a model. You always need to be aware of the scam artists that want to squeeze you for everything that you have.
You need to make sure that you are signing up for descent modelling. Alot of agencies convince girls that it is sexier and easier to become a model by going in the direction , which may I mention is not modelling. You have to realise that modelling isnt selling just who you are but what you look like.

You will become an object. If you walk around in the shops you decided to purchase a lamp, you talk about how great it will look in your room but will look disgusting in the lounge? Well this is the same thing. You will become a thing..... but dont let this get you down. If you sign with a reputable agency, your will be able to sell your looks for a lot of money but be sure to investigate everything and every contract that you sign as well.
