There are a lot of scams out there, I have been looking for a job and it has been a slow process, expected to have a job by now. To my excitement I got emailed for a job interview that I had applied for, it was a great job ad on gumtree promising a great salary, I was excited, over the moon. I knew I had this one in the bag, confident. I woke up early, looked the part and hearded to the agency which said if I go through this interview I would be sent to the hiring company. I got to the recruitment agency an hour early and wouldn't have mind to wait at all, to my surprise there was a long que outside the offices, everyone was called in for an interview, I thought okay since it is an agency then this should not be alarming, until I noticed they were calling in 4 people at a time into this tiny office that had 3 desks and people were being "interviewed" in this little room at the same time. As the other 3 ladies were being interviewed I over heard them selling them products, some were being told to pay R150 now then R500 when they get their certificate then they would be sent to a company for an interview!!! My turn came up and by then I was already pissed, they did not know who I was, asked what position I had applied for then told me I had to buy a dvd worth R290 then come back after 10 days and they would send me to the hiring company! What the heck!!! If I had R290 to splurge around I wouldn't be job hunting in the first place omg. I immediately told her that I was not interested and stormed out! Watch out for scams, especially recruitment agencies situated in JHB cbd are a waste of time! And watch out for Recruit 5, its a scam, there is no job. If any one by the name of Seru Naidoo emails you it is not legit. Be careful and spare yourself the unneccessary excitement. Leave a Reply. |
